Step-by-Step Guide to Creating an AWS Account

Step 1: Open the .

Step 2: Choose "Create an AWS Account."

Note: If you've recently signed in to AWS, choose "Sign in to the Console." If "Create a new AWS account" isn't visible, first choose "Sign in to a different account," then select "Create a new AWS account."

Step 3: Enter your account information and choose "Continue." Ensure your account information is accurate, especially your email address. Incorrect email addresses will prevent you from accessing your account.

Step 4: Choose either "Personal" or "Professional."

Note: Both personal and professional accounts have the same features and functions.

Step 5: Enter your company or personal information.

Important: For professional AWS accounts, it's best to use the company phone number instead of a personal cell phone. Using an individual email address or personal phone number for a can compromise security.

Step 6: Read and accept the AWS Customer Agreement.

Note: Make sure to thoroughly read and understand the terms of the AWS

Step 7: Choose "Create Account and Continue."

Step 8: On the Payment Information page, enter your payment method details and choose "Verify and Add."

Note: If you want to use a different billing address for AWS billing, choose "Use a new address" before verifying and adding your payment method.

Important: You can't proceed without adding a valid payment method.

Step 9: Verify your phone number by entering a number where you can be reached in the next few minutes.

Step 10: An automated system will contact you shortly.

Step 11: Enter the PIN you receive and choose "Continue."

Step 13: After selecting a support plan, a confirmation page will indicate that your account is being activated. Activation usually takes a few minutes but may take up to 24 hours.

Step 14: You can sign in to your AWS account during the activation period. The AWS home page might display a "Complete Sign Up" button even if you've completed all the steps.

Step 15: Once your account is fully activated, you will receive a confirmation email. Check your inbox and spam folder for this email. After receiving it, you will have full access to all AWS services.
